Full Ice Pad Skating- 15-20 minutes

Coach Nichol will lead:

3 Stations - 30 minutes (8 minutes each)

Station 1: Blake (Left In Zone) Station 2: Travis & Tim (Neutral Zone) Station 3: Sam (Right In Zone) Extra: Travis & Blake (Neutral Zone)

Station 1: Keep away Passing Drill

Coach: Blake

    • Blake instead of nets use pads or small nets.

    • You will need to adjust based on skill level... maybe just have the player go around and pass to each player, then add the extra defender.

Station 2: Mohawk Drive

Coach: Travis & Tim

Add different variables as you go... like starting on your stomach, going backwards, transitions, etc.

Station 3: Edge Work

Coach: Sam

  • Sam just keep building on what you did last week.- If you want to add pucks for advanced players feel free.

  • Note: You might end up with a goalie here... if that is the case incorporate a shot at the end of the drill. Maybe allow a screen by a player too or a guy for a rebound...

Here are a couple options but feel free to make it your own. The key is to challenge the players push themselves on their edges and have good body control. Feel free to add pucks as needed.

We will each pull a player aside 1 at a time and work on individual skill stuff with the players.

3 Stations - 30 minutes (8 minutes each)

Station 1: Blake (Full Zone) Station 2: Travis & Tim (Neutral Zone) Station 3: Sam (Full Zone) Extra: Travis & Blake (Neutral Zone)

Station 1: Breakout Pass 1 v 1

Station 2: Finish Skating/Puck Drills

Station 3: 6 Cone Series Drills
